A Few Tips For Your Lawn

Do you have a dead spot on your lawn? We found a few tips for you to replace that dead spot, and it only takes a few minutes to do it- plus growing time, of course!

For this project, you will need a rake, shovel, and a hose. You will also need to purchase top-soil, turf-grass seed of the same variety as the rest of your lawn, and peat moss. You can find these at Home Depot or your local hardware store for cheap.

To get started, you have to pull away the dead turf grass with a rake or with your hands. If working with your hands, we suggest you wear gloves. Remove a couple of inches of soil using a shovel and replace it with a couple of inches of fresh topsoil. Afterwards, sprinkle grass seed over the topsoil and cover with peat moss. It is important to use peat moss because this will keep the seed moist and protect it from birds.

Water the spot you’ve worked on every two or three days, depending on rainfall and fog. In two weeks, the seeds will begin to germinate and in a span of a month, you’ll have a sweet spot to lay in the sun or to have a picnic with family and friends.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
