Healdsburg Animal Shelter

Friday, January 30th, 2009

The economy has taken its toll on animal shelters all across the country.  As people are losing their homes, their pets also lose a place to live.  Please be responsible in pet care, including spay or neuter so that we don’t have pets roaming without love or care.  Eventually, they are put to death if no home is found.  A trip to your local humane society might be a reminder to us all in being responsible pet owners.

Hwy 101 road work

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

Watch the stretch north of Santa Rosa on Hwy 101 and south of Windsor, which features left lane cement blocks, narrow and shifting lanes and a 55 mph speed limit. It’s a trickly shift from left to right and can catch you off guard.

For those who don’t know, Doran Park just out of Bodega Bay is a great spot to boogie board/swim, picnic and sun! There’s also a campground right at the park.

45 condos in Cloverdale, CA

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

What promised to be a great development with condominiums for sale and rent has gone to foreclosure according to the Press Democrat today.  Thyme Square it is called.  It has a great location, nice built ins and some quality upgrades.  Several people have bought – it’s a shame.  Cloverdale promises to be up and coming in the next several years, with a potential casino and golf course.  They’ve done a nice job with their town square and the Chamber of Commerce is doing a nice job, too.  Let’s hope this is a short term loss.
